Premiere at The Charles last Thursday night

I've just been re-charding my batteries since the amazing premiere at The Charles last Thursday. I wasn't able to post about it until now.. because a)I've been resting and 'coming down' from the high of the event and b)I wanted to post some pictures I took at the event at the same time I made the post. The pictures are ready.. so here we go.

The night went very well. It definetely exceeded my expectations. We had a good-sized audience, and the film were generally well-received. Of course, there are detractors, and the films do have some flaws. But you know what? That goes with the territory. I strongly believe it was a great night, and something special was kickstarted last Thursday night, October 13th, in that Charles screening room.

I also posted a write-up of the event at BloodyNews.com on that very same night. Check it out.

Still, I have much work ahead of me. I couldn't finish the 'Rental' DVDs in time. So I'll be spending the next week or so doing that and sending them out to my cast and crew. I also got to get on top the 'Walk In The Park' DVD. Patience, my friends, both DVDs are indeed coming.

Here are the promised pictures of some the cast and crew of 'Rental', as well as some of my good friends who attended the premiere. I only wished my hands would have been more free to take more pictures because I only managed to snap a few.

A shot of the audience at the very end of the screening.

Steve Thomas, who played Billy Jump and Samurai Killer in 'Livelihood'.
(sorry about the evil red eyes)

Ali Lukowski, who played 'Lynch' in 'Rental', looking very hot.

Celia Wallace--my friend--who played 'Frantic Woman' in the film.

Charles Johnson, a virtual fixture of the Baltimore indie film community. It could be said that The Charles is named after him, because he's there literally all the time, catching each and every indie film he can get to. I thought to snap his picture for posterity.

Ryan Graham, with some of the cast of 'Livelihood'. Please pardon the red-eye in the pictures; it couldn't be helped. The woman Ryan's looking at is Michelle Strout, who played the evil mother-in-law-zombie Vida in the film.

Local actor Nathan Rosen, who played 'Deaf Man' in a deleted scene from 'Rental'.

My friends Rob Shore and Jen, who ventured to The Charles for their first time ever to catch 'Rental'.

My friends Roger Farwell and Jonathan Hanna also came down.

My best friend, Shane Vannest--who did an amazing job with the special effects in 'Rental'--and another friend of mine, Elissa Thomas.

Stephanie Petago--friend and Production Designer/ Makeup/ Costume Designer/ Special Effects Assistant in 'Rental'. Stephanie was extremely tired that night--her great work is currently on display in the Spotlighters Theater production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show--but she said she was very excited on the inside. heh.

Thomas Fant--also friend and Lighting Designer/ Special Effects Assistant in 'Rental'--looking very poised.

Not the best picture of me, but it'll have to do.

There are other pictures at the BloodyNews.com link above. Check them out.
